Tim Ioannides serves as the head physician of Eastern Florida’s Treasure Coast Dermatology. Since he founded the dermatology services, he has focused on treating and preventing various skin conditions, including cancer.
Dr. Tim is associated with the Journal of American Medical Association of Dermatology as an author. Besides, he serves as an associate professor and instructor at the University of Miami School of Medicine associate professor. Consequently, he assists in giving instructions concerning reconstructive surgery and general dermatology in the university.
Dr. Ioannides attributes his successful career to his parents, who inspired him and set an example. Interestingly, his father founded the University of Miami’s dermatopathology laboratory, and his mother worked at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Ioannides began his practice at Miami after his medical residency. At the beginning of his practice, he got engaged in various services such as mole removal, cancer screening, and elective procedures. However, he remained unfulfilled since he wanted to deal with skin cancer. Therefore, he planned and began his practice at Port St. Lucie. Consequently, he focused entirely on all spheres of skin, including prevention.
Currently, Dr. Tim has a team of focused nurses and five stations in Treasure Coast, Florida. Dr. Tim’s practice is patient-centered, and he does everything to ensure his patients are safe, including the prescription of safe drugs.
Unlike many businesses and modern clinics, Tim Ioannides MD has substituted computer record-taking with clerical work. He argues that this decision is to improve patient interaction and satisfaction. Besides, it reduces distractions while talking with the patient. Therefore, this initiative helps him fulfill his goal of serving humanity.
Dr. Tim Ioannides is a certified dermatologist who has served Treasure Coast for more than 15 years. He learned at the University of Miami School of Medicine and did his medical internship at the University of Florida School of Medicine. Consequently, he is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
Apart from his medical practice, he supports charitable organizations and is an instructor at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he educates and mentors future dermatologists.
